Five things to look for in an electrician before hiring

1. Government approved scheme

We are a member of NICEIC. You can find our entry on their website by clicking here. NICEIC members have to pass regular assessments to make sure that they're up to standard and have their work inspected too.

2. Ask to see their paperwork

Don't just take our (or anyone else's) word for it. If you're hiring an electrician you have a right to see our paperwork.

3. References

Any competent tradesperson will be able to provide you with references of previous clients work.

4. Colleagues

If the electrician is employing someone else to work on your property you have a right to ask for their qualifications too.

5. Second opinion

Don't feel pressured into work you feel uncomfortable with. We're more than happy for you to take time to get a second opinion.
